Counseling 105 - Orientation class for new students

Online - Counseling 105 Class
Students will meet with a counselor in this class.
It is designed to provide students with a concrete plan for
understanding and succeeding in college. Topics that will be covered;
identification of educational and career goals, strategic use of student
services, academic assessment, geographical orientation, counseling and
advising.

Enrollment Steps
2009-2010
Step 1.
Fill out an
Admissions
Application on-line. You
will receive e-mail confirmation that your application has been received along
with instructions for registration.
Note: If you are currently in High School and plan on taking a
Counseling 105 class that starts before you graduate, then you must also fill
out the "Concurrent Enrollment Recommendation Form" and turn it into the
Admissions Office. Step 2. Take the
Assessment
Test.
Step 3. Choose one Counseling 105
Orientation course that will fit your schedule. The course must be at least
seven days after your Assessment
Test date. A back-up section may be
necessary. Write/print the section number.
Step 4. Register for one
Counseling 105 Class. Please note, fees are required at the time you register. Step 5.
Obtain your Starter Kit
(catalog, class schedule, planning guide) at the Information Center or DVC/SRC
Bookstore prior to your class.
Step 6.
Contact the Financial Aid Office for financial
assistance 925-685-1230 ext. 2263 or the EOPS Office (Extended Opportunity
Programs and Services) for college support services 925-685-1230 ext. 2236 for
low income and educationally disadvantaged students.
